Structural Failure Fixed

Load bearing wall in a garage taking the weight of the floor slab above in 20 year old bungalow in Western Sydney.

Cause

The weight from the beam above can easily be seen dragging brickwork and causing the bricks to crack under sheer pressure. As no other cracking was found in the building that would assist or couple with this movement, it was deemed to be shrinkage in either concrete beam or slab that caused the structural damage.

Solution

Utilizing the crack stitching method, Buildfix were able to return structural integrity the wall with minimal distruption.
